General answer ...... feel around in the gap between the back of the seat and the seat cushion for two square shaped rings.
Specific answer ..... a 106 will not have Isofix.

A 106, especially a 3 door, is very difficult to get a good seat fit as the seat cushions are very thin and soft.

Yep, isofix is basically two metal hoops that you'll find between the seat and back (you might have to fish around for them if there's not much of a gap) - the car-seat will clip onto these. It's only in the last few years that smaller cars have been fitted with it though. I was surprised that my C1 had it - and that was only on the top model.

You can get ISOfix retro fitted on some vehicles, but doubt a '97 106 would be on that list!

  • Just to add a point, I have just had Isofix retro-fitted to my Focus LX (07) It cost just under £40 at the Ford main dealer.
