Am I entitled to compensation?

Hi all,

I booked a holiday a few months ago. Last month thomas cook informed us that are flights had been cancelled and between us agreed a different UK departure airport. We were only informed 28days before departure. Thomas cook have told us that we are not entitled to compensation. We are now travelling a much further distance to the airport and it will cost us now bout £30-35 in petrol and £35 for a car park. We had originally paid more to go from a closer airport as we would not need to drive or pay for parking. Could anyone please tell me if we are entitled to compensation and how to go about getting it?

Thanks

If you agreed to a new airport - NO !

You were undoubtedly offered a full refund as another option.
