Can't connect Wii to our TV

Wondering if anyone can help me please. I've bought my son a Wii for Xmas and I've just discovered that I don't have a socket for it to connect to on my tv. My tv is an Asus monitor and connected to a media centre, but the monitor only has two sockets on the back a blue and a white.
I'm not very technical when it comes to this type of thing so any help would be really appreciated.
Is there an adaptor that I could buy, if so what's it called and where would I get one?
I'd like to try and get this sorted out a.s.a.p. as I don't want to disappoint him on Xmas Day when it won't work.
Many thanks

I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

Thanks for the reply scottishf, unfortunately there is no model number on the monitor and I have checked. I thought I'd got a tv monitor but it's not which is why I think I have the problem. I was hoping that there was an adaptor I could buy as I don't want to replace the media centre with a tv.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

I'm guessing the blue socket is a VGA socket, while the white one is DVI, in which case, you can get Wii-VGA adaptors, although not official Nintendo ones.
It would be best to know the model number of the monitor first to make sure, before suggesting spending money on anything.0 -
Do the sockets look like this?

Hi Nick,
Many thanks for your help.
I've just had a look and yes that's what they look like. There really isn't a model no. on the monitor I've tried finding out but come up with nothing unfortunately. Would I be able to buy one of these adaptors on the high street?
CheersI won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

I've had a quick google, and the thing you need would appear to be the "Vdigi VD-W2".
I'm not sure you'll get it on the high street, you may have to buy online. Others may have a better idea than I do!0 -
Thanks Nick,
I'll have a look and order one. I appreciate your help.
