it was a case of ordering something that was oos but you still got the £10 voucher for spending over £100... so depending on how many times you did it... lots of free or nearly free stuff...
    Cheers for that.
If you always do what you've always done...
you'll always get what you've always gotten
  • argos know about it and told me it was not illegal but it was a breech of the terms and conditions and that if you managed to get stuff then u can keep it as there terms say that once a item is signed for a paid for in which it was it is yours.

i got a few grands worth of stuff and had some orders cancelled to.. in fact they got hdnl to stop 7 of my 24 deliverys on a day last week lol.

was great fun.. i have about 175 left.. not sure what to do with them now.

i noticed that argos are pretty much checking every order with a gift code now. the best thing is that the code worths with the free delivery code so you can order a £20 item for £10 and get it posted for free.

anybody else had extra cash taken!!!

Yes me - they charged me the full amount not the amount I authorised.

I am still arguing with them. Latest is they have tired to tell me that the vouchers could only be used one per purchase.

I have pointed out that the voucher code message contains no additional T&C, that it states it can be used as an 'additional discount'. Their T&C dont have any grounds to charge extra or void voucher codes.

Giving them one more chance then its chargeback time...

nb - They have now sent me more voucher codes for every completed purchase I made - which implies that the others have now been cancelled...
  • Chargeback raised lol.

    Awiting outcome.

If not refunded then I will take credit card company to small claims. As its over £100 they are jointly liable under the Consumer Credit Act - and it would be harder for them to defend than Argos.
  • i sold most of mine to my work mates £1400 in my pocket lol :) they wont let me use my codes so i sold them to my work mates.. i did get loads of stuff for free to lol
