I agree this is bloomin' annoying, although I've noticed it only happens when my regular postie is away - I'm guessing he's got more sense than the relief posties and puts them back in for sending. I wondered if picture postcards are better as the addresses would both be on the same side but the 'to' would be on the right under the stamp. They're more expensive tho unless you can pick up enough freebies from the cinemas etc.

I use picture postcards so I dont think that makes a difference.. since princess pixiedust mentioned putting phone number under address I have realised that the only postcards I have had returned are ones where I havent put my phone number on.

So thanks for the tip princess pixiedust, i think putting something after the postcode (like your telephone number) stops them from being returned
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

    http://www.clippersharp.com/design-clipping-stencil.php

Your chance to win your own custom designed Clipping Stencil. Ever wanted to personalise your horse or pony with your own creative design? Now's the chance to do just that.

All you need to do is to create a design in black and white - like the image shown here.
For best clipping results, keep the design as simple as possible, this makes it less fiddly to clip, and also it will stand out very clearly.

Whether it is a design based around initials, your pony or horses's name or an unrelated design which you would like to see made into a stencil, the choice is yours.

Entries to be sent by post to: Clippersharp Ltd, Suthwoods Farm, Culmstock, Devon. EX15 3JX
Closing date: 31th January 2009. Please enclose your full name, address, daytime tel no. Email address.
The winner will be notified by 14th February 2009.

I usually use blank postcards and print my name, address and phone number on one side, as well as some smileys and a huge FROM and they sometimes get sent back, even with my phone number under the postcode and the card written in 'portrait' format. Like others have said, it only goes wrong when we don't have our usual postman, which goes to show it's human error, not a machine's fault!
  • :( i'm sorry, don't know what else to suggest if you've done it all as it says, i've never had a problem entering them, so wouldn't know if they'd reply if you'd done it wrong sad-019.gif
I didn't get an answer the first 2 times, then I realised the original post has CB01 & it should be CBO1 - I got the text back when I sent it with a letter O instead of a number 0 :) HTH
