Fence panels - supply and fit (£500)

We have cleared a few more leylandi trees and want to put some fencing in the hole we have created.

The job entails the supply and fit of:
Five 8 foot concrete fence posts - the left most post already exists.
Five 6x6 fence panels (Larch lap type)
Gravel boards

We live about 40 miles south west of London. The ancient fencing in place we can remove and burn ourselves. I could do the job myself, but I would prefer to get someone in to save me the effort, if not the money.

We have had one chap round (from the local paper adverts) who wanted £500 (cash in advance) who did not give us positive vibes

What would be a realistic price for the above work from a reputable company?

Does the £500 include the fencing and posts?

500 seems ok for london area. but never pay it all up front esp for cash.
best to pay for the materials yourself, or give the man, the cost.
pay for the labour at the finish of the job.

Yes, the quote included all materials, the fence panels, posts, boards and cement.

I am trusting my instinct with this person and will probably look for someone else to do it, or may do it myself if the weather holds over Christmas. The chap only seems to have a mobile number, and is not listed in the Yellow Pages, so there is no comeback if he makes a hash of it, or could even run off after give him the cash without doing job properly, even if at all!
