Sony rear projection or cheap plasma? Help please

Hi, We have been looking to buy a new tv. I have read many reviews/reports but have yet to make up my mind, however, we went to Makro today and I saw a tv that I absolutely loved, must admit though that I go for style!! The tv was huge and the stand was modern and chunky and I loved it. Only problem is hubby is after a plasma screen but we can only afford £1200 max and the Makro deal is £999 plus vat (on Makro mail starting 3rd Jan). Please advise if you would go for this or a £1200 plasma. Thanks. Looked at the two, I personally would go for the Sony, love it.0 -
Haven't seen this model in action, so it may be a step above the rest, but never understood the appeal of rear projection.. The TV's are normally massive, underperform a normal CRT TV (low contrast), and apparently suffer from burn-in??Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
