Help needed for homeless in poole dorset

Hi
We are a group whose objectives are to offer care and compassion to the homeless people of Dorset.

Starting small we aim to reach out a helping hand to those less fortunate than ourselves. We aim to do this by offering:
* Hot food and drinks
* Warm clothes and toiletries
* Support and advice to gain accomodation
* A friendly smile and a KIND WORD.
* Human contact on a person to person level, without judgement nor
comdemnation.
We work as a team to create and achieve our objectives. Please volunteer if you would like to be proactive and productive!

Good for you sturdygirl !!!!

I often walked past homeless people and looked the other way,even crossed the road to avoid them,lots of people if they are honest do the same. As a society we often pre-judge people without knowing anything of their circumstances.

All this changed for me when our son ran away from home and found himself living on the streets ( he was 17 but has a variety of learning difficultys)

If it wasnt for the kindness of groups similar to yours and members of the public i dread to think where he would be now. I take my hat off to all of you and know that most of what these groups do is often unrecognised/unheard of unless you find yourself in the position of needing them.
