Now that the new charges are in force, the Dart Tag is well worth getting. The charge for a car is now £1.50, with the Tag it is only £1 (previously you only saved 3p). You can apply online (link below) and prepay any amount from £10 upwards. Also, if travelling late evening, plan your journey to arrive at the crossing after 10pm and there is no toll - one minuter early and you pay the full charge!

Yep, better to pay £1 rather than 1.50 for the privilege to sit in congestion that this congestion charge causes! Lives up to it title!
