I recently transferred my ISA to another provider and the old provider sent two cheques which were both cashed by the new provider. SO not only have i gone over my yearly allowance but i have double my balance.
I know that i shouldnt spend the money and i dont intend to. What i want to know, from any finance lawyers on the site, is what are my legal responsibilities in this scenario? I have informed the new provider of the mistake but not the old one as i am no longer their customer.
Any advice?

Tell your earlier provider. It's their money.0
