i bought the alba dvd recorder rdvd1002 at around the begining of november. i have not had any problems without up until about a week ago. when i put a disk in, it makes an extremely loud low grumbly type sound. it sounds kinda scary! this does not affect the playback of disks but i am just concerned that it could be damaging the disks or even the machine.
thanks for any help you are able to give

I had a similar noise coming from a dvcd player and found that a disc had stuck inside and stayed there when the drawer opened... I know it's a long shot ......I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -

genrally the noise remains until i turn of the dvd recorder. sometimes though, it will turn off during playback of a disk, but it usually starts again. you can tell the difference when watching tv or when watching a dvd because you have to turn the volume up when watching a dvd!!0
