Halifax Guaranteed Reserve Account Query

Opened one this morning and deposited £ 39,000 from my web saver account.
The Halifax website says 6.10% AER for 6 months.
My account says 5.52% gross.
Is that correct?

No.
It should say 6.01%.
This happened to me when I opened an account a few weeks ago and changed itself the following Tuesday before I had a chance to complain! No idea why.
Print off the web page with the rate and date on it. Ring them on 08457 26 36 46 if it doesn't correct itself.0 -

Try one of these numbers instead of the rip off 0845 number; -
01422 333333, 1133 809 574
Or their call back system where they pay for the call.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
I see this morning that their rates have been reduced. Presumably I should still have got the old rate as that was the rate being advertised yesterday when I funded the account.0

Wait until tomorrow and then ring them if it doesn't correct itself.
I think you'll be okay - very similar to what happened to me and it was the Tuesday it all sorted itself out.0 -
I decided to call them a moment ago. The lady I spoke to agreed that I should have had the old rate and that she was going to send a message (to whom I'm not sure) to get it amended.0
