Lloyds TSB Phone Bank express - Warning

I always pay my Lloyds TSB Duo credit card in full every month using phone bank express. I did this on 28.10.08 (or so I thought) received current account statement the other day and noticed the payment hadnt come out of my current account, so phoned Lloyds and they had no record of payment , but said they would investigate so I paid the credit card balance and they said they would pass message on to their credit card department as by now the payment was 7 days late. At 4.30pm that afternoon the credit card department phoned me to say my payment was late and when was I going to pay it. I explained to him I had paid it 4 hours previousely but they said they hadnt been given the message but he said ok that was fine now.
I thought nothing more about it until later that night having spent an hour in tescos I tried to pay using my Lloyds TSB AMEX, but to my embarrassment it was refused and not having much cash on me had to put quite a lot of my shopping back, I have never been so humiliated. Am still waiting for result of their investigation, but will be closing my account with LLoyds, as this is the 2nd time this has happened. Since the first time it has happened I always write on the credit card statement time and date of payment. If i hadnt have done this I would have doubted myself.
I wonder how many others this has happened to.
