Ghost Item in Outbox

Hi
While away on holiday my DH tried to send an e-mail to one of his pals (we use Outlook - not Express). He doesn't know what happened as the e-mail did not end up in 'Sent' items and now our 'Outbox' is showing one item to send (nothing there) and of course every time we log off it tells us there is a message to send. Not worried if e-mail reached pal or not but how do we get rid of this prompt? Not a huge problem but a bit of a nuisance.

One possibility: did DH log in to the PC as a different user than you are currently using? If so, Outlook will probably have created a completely different mailbag for that user that the current user can't see.0

But my initial guess it its become 'stuck' in the servers somehow
After approx 3 days it will probably go away of its own accord (And need to be resent if it hasnt already):idea:0
