JVC LCD TV (noise problem) ?

Hi recently bought a JVC wide LCD slim panel TV (LT-32DR9BJ) & noticed there is a slight noise when changing a channel? Love everything about the TV, picture quality, features etc This is being used in the bedroom & was bought after we liked the 42" slim version so much(no noise on this TV)

Should we send back because of this? Is this a fault?

Would appreciate any help

Thx

That noise will be your partner complaining you've changed channel while they're watching it!

If it's working fine while watching a channel, and you like everything about it - why would you go to the bother of all the hassle of taking it back for such a niggling annoyance? You've got at least a year's warranty, so I wouldn't worry - sit back and enjoy it.

Hi, what are you recording on?- on a normal tv set up the recording is done off an internal tuner on the hard drive/dvd/video so any background noises are then proof that the noise is actually on the transmission. !!!!

Hi the noise also occurs when I playback a dvd, but if I play the dvd on the larger JVC TV & same sony recorder there is no noise. It seems not to be the actual sound being transmitted but the actual tv itself?

    Thx

Hi, are you using good quality scart/hdmi cables. In a lot of cases poorer quality cables can give 'crosstalk' . For example when you are using a scart to play a dvd as well as the video/ audio signals travelling from the dvd to the tv there is also the tuner signal being sent out from the tv along the lead. If there is poor screening on the cable these signals infere with each other giving crosstalk. However in a lot of cases it is more to do with design of the tv and would be classed as 'within specification'.
