Hello rudeboyroy
I've moved your thread to the 'Old Style' board, where it should get more views and responses from the wonderful old style posters.

Take a look in the Cleaning section of the MEGA Index sticky at the top of the Old Style forum. You'll find all sorts of threads listed under "Carpets" that should help you with some excellent ideas and advice.

Don't bleach it you will ruin the whole thing........ there is a spray called chemdry, I got mine from John Lewis.... used it to get a grease stain out of a chinese rug, it also took drinking chocolate out of a stair carpet, you spray the stain and then dab it from the outside in, you might have to do it more than once........on the other hand using a deep clean machine may well have set the stain, in which case it could be that you will have to claim on your contents insurance and buy a new rug, or of course you coulsd throw coffee over the rest of the rug ...... LOL!!!!!!
