Making my first PPI claim!

Hi, I am starting to put together all my MBNA statements which go back to 2004 to the present day. All this time I have been charged PPI and now I want to claim it all back. Can anybody give me some advice, if I have ticked the original box which says I want PPI insurance included, does this mean I won't be able to make a claim?
I have nine credit cards, I think 5 of them have PPI, should I try to claim from the rest of them?
Thanks for any comments and advice.

    Hi there hun

If you feel you were mis sold on any of these then yes its well worth trying to pursue on these.

I would like to add there is an actual PPI reclaim discussion thread if you would like to copy and paste your post there, if you click on loans, then above of that page after clicking you will find PPI Reclaim-Discussion thread, where myself and others will be able to help you further.;)

While I'm posting, above of the sites page you will find in red "reclaim £1,000's", click on that and there is some useful info on ppi on loand, credit cards etc, you will also find a template letter you can use, but obviously as you know add your own reasons etc, and any further information you feel that will help your case.

They have 8 weeks to respond - post by recorded delivery in order to keep an eye on the timescales.

Keep us posted and we will guide you to the next step if this is not successful first time round, cheers.

Also if your having trouble finding the PPI reclaim discussion thread, give us a yell.

    Good luck;)

Have a read through this guide to help decide whether or not you have a genuine reason to claim it back:

  • Thanks for the tips and links. I'm just a bit worried if I have ticked the little box for PPI in the original acceptance letter for the credit card they will ignore my claim and complaint. I've had the card for 5 years which is a long time.
This website is so helpful, wish I'd found it earlier. Fluff
  • OMG!! you want to claim back? You ticked the box to say you wanted it? If you don't want the PPI anymore then just cancel it. You don't have a leg to stand on.

People claim when they have been mis-sold the product or were to neglegent to look at their statement to realise they have the product.

Good luck at screwing the economy over, and making the people who are honest and decent have to pay more.
