Confused about statement

I've just been paid £24.40 by "TRAINLINE.COM LTD"

I've never used trainline.com, but I do book train tickets regularly. The next train tickets I have didn't cost £24.40, so I don't understand why I've been paid it.. Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks

Can only assume it's a mis-directed refund? Where a refund is applicable they refund the original card that was used. But it's a bit manual at their end, in particular where the tickets are returned .... so mistakes can be made. But it would be easier to believe if they were at least holding your card details!
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
