Northern Rock E-Saver (issue1@5.15% gross AER) re-opened 14.11.08

i signed up on their website for when any savings a/c's would be available again, received an email this afternoon to say they've re-opened issue 1.

i wanted a no-frills instant access without being tied-in for any period, just opened online & took me about 5 mins ;) .

Yup - it's because lots've been flowing money out into 'fixes' as we expect NR to keep dropping inline with BoE rates & HMG pressure to pass it on & drop mortgage rates. Add to that the confidence in the FSCS compensation process now experienced & people are prepared to go with 'riskier' accounts staying within the £50k (£100kjt)...IMHO
