Icesave ISA certificate

Anyone contacted the FSCS or know when the certificate will be sent. Is it upto 2 weeks from when you initate your claim, or is it 2 weeks after the end of November.

Im going away for 3 months 30th november and wanted to have it all sorted.

Ive just initate my claim now.

  • It's 2 weeks today since I received my money back from Icesave. Still no certificate (although the post hasn't arrived yet)...
  • I've seen a thread on this somewhere on this forum, i think from conversations had with the FCSC helpdesk people it could be two weeks but it could also be up to the end of December.

    Clicked "thanks" in error.

    From invitation e-mail.
"You should receive your ISA certificate within 2 weeks of claiming compensation"

So who said the end of December? Is that fact or speculation?

It's now just over two weeks since my claim, so past the "within" period. I sent them (FSCS) an e-mail yesterday asking about these certificates, as yet not had a reply. Of course "should" is the get out word for them.
  • when the FSCS have been contacted recently, they advised towards the end of Dec for the certificates to be received.
