Gemm - I know black poo isn't fun is it???? Your cards are great - the first one is perfect as it is - I love the little perfume bottle.
Rusty - I agree - your xmas card looks really pretty!!! Your other two cards are gorgeous too - it makes such a difference using the embossed card - the cards are really striking.
Cgcockcroft - it won't let me look at your blog!!!
I am finally in the mood for crafting after about a week - but I am sweating that much I don't know if I dare - my poor pigs trotter feet are throbbing - I feel like bursting them with a pin.0 -
Craftygranny - I'm really sorry - I haven't even made a start on Kaitlyn's card yet - I promise I will make her one.0

Gorgeous cards Gemm the vintage one is my favourite:T
Rusty Your cards a fab too:T the Tilda one is my favourite, the embossed paper looks lovely. Am I missing something about your Christmas card? it looks gorgeous.
I have been having a play with my Cuttlebug this afternoon, I can't believe how easy it is to emboss, it looks really nice on the pearlised card. I havent had time yet to make a card with it.
Did anyone buy anything today from QVC?0 -
Thanks for all the links - I had a good look at the instructions, nearly quit because it looked too complicated and then realised that it was just a trifold card with 2 triangles cut out. Sorted! I did cheat and use a trifold card that I had already to make the rectangular card I wanted. Pics posted here.....0

Gemma - lovely cards - I prefer the pink one!
Dawnteabag - great pocket cards - what a good idea to give embossed card to your friend
Melissa - I hope you are sat with your feet up! Glad you've got your craft mojo back. I'd be lost without my drier in winter but in summer I try to dry most stuff outside especially towels as they use a lot of electric in the drier.0 -

I've been having a play too. Must get me some pearlised card because I can just imagine how lush it looks. In my friends wallet, I've put some plain cards where basically, I've just run the front of the card through the machine. Would be perfectly fine for notelets.0 -
melissa it's fine don't worry about it. sit with your feet up and get rid of that swelling. I've been searching for the electric fans in the garage tonight i think we need to use them.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Morning ladies! Hope you are all well.
Melissa, I really feel for you in this heat - both my boys were spring babies so I can only imagine how you are feeling. Although I did suffer massive water retention - I could only get on plimsolles wth the laces undone - which was a disaster for someone who loves their shoes as much as me!
Rusty - so sorry to hear about your cat. It must be hard ith DH so far away.
Flourgirl - ouch! HOpe your toes are getting better.
Sylphraven, welcome to the thread! and your fantasy card was lovely.
Congrats BunBun and enjoy your bug!
Lei - gorgeous leaving card.
Oh heck - Christmas for the next challenge. I bought loads of stuff in the sales so should find something to inspire me in this heat. Actually it might be quite nice thinking about snow!
Qwiksave - what a fantastic picture. That is truly 2 boys doing what boys do best!
Marg - I foind the double pocket cards quite thick too, but made sure I folded really hard with a scoring tool thingy. I messed up one and stuck it on the front of a card anyway so I think that's not a bad idea.
Re: computer games etc. I think one of the things I love about crafting is that you can treat yourself for relatively small amounts of money - and get so much enjoyment out of it.
Gemm - I think your cards are stunning. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the pink one in my opinion.
Rusty all lovely cards - both sorts of embossing look fab. Not sure what's so wrong with the tree though?
NO crafting for me for a while -very busy at work, and I'm off to Dublin Friday mornign for a girly weekend. The hotel is opening a spa on Saturday and we've got some treatments booked for the afternoon. I'm so sad though- I think the thing that I'm most looking forward to is not being woken at 5am! Mind you, we went to Lisbon last year and that was almost the time we were going to bed!!
Have a great day everyone.

Morning ladies,
Thankyou for all the kind comments on my cards
The tree one you can't really see from the picture, I might see if I can get a better picture of it today but it really does look awful in the flesh. I think I probably overdid the embossing ... but I had fun!
A couple of you have asked how I did it ....
I have a embossing pen, some embossing powder and a heat gun, I drew/coloured in what I wanted embossing with the pen, then put the powder over the top got rid of the excess powder and then used the heat gun and it just melts! really easy but if any of you have a papermill shop locally and ask if they can show you in person, I asked a couple of questions in mine the other day and the young lass there asked if I wanted her to show me and she didIt really is easy though and I would presume there are tutorials on you tube?
Dawn your pocket card looks fab, as does your goodbye! really pretty!
I need to get ready for work .... I am walking loads the last few days as I have no car at the mo, it is absolutely killing me then today I wake up to loads of rain!!! eek the last thing I need as I will be soaked before I drop DS off at school let alone arrive at work!!
Hope everyone has a good day!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
