Thank you all for your hugs.

Just wondering what you think of this idea: using a rectangle scallop punch to adapt regular card blanks into scalloped cards?

I lovvvvve scalloped cards so much but the cheapest I have found is 10 for £2.99 which is just way too much!

I might be going to Hobbycraft for the first time tomorrow - is it worth going? If so, what should I look out for?

Placed an order with Artymiss as there is free p&p - only spent £11 though so I don't feel too bad.

Ooooh I love scallop cards aswell :D

Hobbycraft I find very annoying, I have been twice to our local ish one and I hate it there!!! the only good thing I found which wasn't highly overpriced is their ribbons, they are normally on an end of aisle and are 3metre rolls for 49p some fantastic ribbons and I also use them on the nappy cakes!

Beautiful card Hels, the text is very fetching and I love the image!!! Fab, your friend will love it!!

I have made FIL's fathers day card, just finished it off, again wanted to base it on the same design as earlier but then made it look different with a scallop circle on it ;)

Used my nesties again ... the board I picked up off ebay is completely rubbish, if you use the right plates as she says, then try to cut it then it all just slips and doesn't cut! Not only that I couldn't turn the handle! OH had to force it through!!! So not happy that I have wasted £5

Anyway card is on my blog

Dawnteabag thanks for that I've just placed an order!

I've posted a pic of my new home card on my blog, I used my new Xcut Impress for the wording!

    You're welcome.
As I mentioned before I found their service to be amazing!
I placed an order (must have been 40-50 sheets of paper - I know, I know, I really shouldn't have but I couldn't resist). Most of them were in the sale.
The postage and packing worked out ok for me as I think it was £4 something for postage on the box and the papers were well packaged inside. Sadly, 3 sheets were missing so I emailed them asking for a credit to be put on my account. I think it was less than £1 so thought pointless doing a refund. The papers were now showing out of stock
A few days later, I received a second parcel - with 2 of the 3 sheets in it. £1 something postage paid by them on that and they give me arefund for the last sheet!

Can I ask - what do you ladies do your card making on ? What I mean is, do you have a special mat or board or anything ?
At the mo I use the dining table, but its got a cloth on so things don't lie flat. My cutting mat is only small so not much use, so I just wondered what you all did ?

Hi Skiergirl & Everybody, in answer to the above, I have recently bought myself an A2 (BIG!) cutting mat from The Works - only £7.99 and I do all my crafting with that on the dining room table. I've also treated myself to a Ranger's non-stick crafting mat for when I do messy stuff (frequently!) It's really good, you can safely heat emboss on it and glue and inks don't stick to it, they just wipe away. Both products have certainly made my crafting easier! ;)

Dragonllew, hels and rusty - great cards, have left comments on blogs. :)

I've just added a card to my blog - I think I'm like you on this one rusty, it's my favourite card I've made for a while. Think I may be getting my mojo back. :D
