Hi this is one that I have done today I wanted to try out some of my art work. The picture is not that good as I had to scan it into my computor. The card is not that good either but it was just a test and I can always improve it later on. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0

CT19720 - lovely card, I like the little teddy.
Saveapenny - I tried for years to use stamped images on my card and I just never lliked what I did. Its worth just buying the images from ebay though just to have a little play first, they only cost a couple of quid. The watercolour pencils were about 5 quid I think. Have you checked out Polly's blog - she has some fantastic cards on there that she's made with stamped images?
Well ladies I have an announcement I am pregnant. I went for my first scan yesterday and I'm 13 weeks gone, due date is the 24th July. We were a little surprised, but we're excited now.
Whoooo, the news is out, I can now say publically, many congratulations you mad woman!!! :T :j No seriously, I'm so happy for you. Will you find out if you are having a boy or a girl? Did you for your boys?
Thanks for the tip about buying stamped images, I love the effect but am rubbish at stamping. Will have a look at ebay later I think! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hmm. Hopefully will be able to post a card for the challenge this evening. First, I have to resolve a problem and I'm sure someone on here will be able to help me!
I've never tried stamping before. I received an order this morning with some wooden back rubber stamps in (words, not pictures if it makes a difference). I've bought some ink and had a play on some scrap paper - but everytime I stamp, I end up with 'lines' above or below the wording. Is there anything I can do to avoid this?some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

I'm not an expert or even a reasonable stamperbut I would say you are pressing the stamp down too hard on the ink or pressing it at a slight angle so the edge of the stamp is getting inked too. I've seen Dawn Bibby on QVC put the ink to the stamp rather than the stamp to the ink. I think she places the stamp on the table and lightly taps the ink pad against it. Does that make sense?
Hope that helps:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Thanks rainmac, I'll give it a go!some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0

First let me say I've never done any craft stamping! but @ work I've been known to 'mask' a stamp with sellotape to get the bits I want without other bits & then rip off the sellotape. Rainmac's solution looks more promising.
I've not started my card yet but I've got an idea what to do ~ now I've to work out how! I've registered with photobucket, so that's a step nearer too.0 -
Polly - great card, you put my stamping to shame - I love the papers.
Saveapenny - I forgot to say that your wedding cards are fabulous, I don't know how you find the time to do so much, good luck with selling them.
ZLS1984 - really cute card, the girl is really sweet.
Rainmac - I will find out so that I can start buying some bits and bobs, the next scan isn't for 2 months. With Leo (the first) the hospital wouldn't tell me the sex, but they did with Brandon. Leo wants a sister, but Brandon wants a brother.0 -
