Gemm85 - so pretty, I don't have a favourite either, I love the colours and the 3 square windows across the top look so effective.
Hi to you all, hope you've all had a lovely weekend. I've frozen and got wet on the side of a rugby pitch today, really must find some fur k*ickers. LOL0 -
thanks for everyones lovely comments on my cards
flourgirl - you are right, the white paper is stitched with a silver pattern, I didnt stitch it myself though, would have taken ages!
It's so beautiful, I got it in an assorted pack from a shop called The Works, they mostly sell books and stuff but they have a cardmaking section as well, I often get my pre-scored card blanks from there too.0 -
soblivion - hope you thaw out soon.
Gemm - beautiful cards, I don't think I could choose a favourite.
CT19720 - great cards, I think my favourite is the Chelsea one, I have never used wordle - but the effect on your card is fab!0 -
Brillaint cards CT and Gemma...I love Wordle ..Its great from lads cards because you can do so much with it. Ive done teenage ones with all the favourite bands,Football ones Ive even manged to do baby one by just writing all cute words and one for a gardener , I looked up the latin names for flowers and trees and used that...I would like to hear what others have used it for to get more ideas
CT ...wow I might just send all my cutting out down to your hubby hes much neater than me ..think he would mind? lol Glad you got good use out of the jag it does make a card even though I dont think it looks much in sheet form
Melissa...I know what you mean ...when I went looking for the link I noticed alot more stuff there but I was good I resisted ( for now)
Gemma ...are they still 2 packs of 50 cards for £8 at the works?
Ive been busy making a box of cards again for my friends work ...they want a box each month, which is brillaint but when you have to fill orders the mind goes blank...lol
I will post pictures later once they are all finished offIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
I used Wordle for a Christening card and I typed all spellings and variations of the little girl's name, making her spelling bigger (you can do this by typing the word you want to be bigger more than once and this enlarges the size - does that make sense?).
I'd love to be asked to make a box of cards to sell saveapenny, but I know if it were to happen I would panic and inspiration would leave me!!! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Saveapenny I bought 2 packs of cards last week from Dunelm Mill 1 pack was Craft Tonic 50 square pastel colours with envelopes £2.49
and the other were Anitas cream square with envelopes and a free sheet of Birthday peel offs for £2.49. The same ones in the Range were £4.99 each. Would be worth you looking there first0 -

Thanks saveapenny - I am rubbish at cutting out, and when he saw it he said that he would cut two of them out only, but he actually got quite into it and cut them all out -. You can try sending them here for him, but I am sure he would suss that I wasn't actually using them.
When I was last in our Works last week they were still selling the cards 2 packs for £8.00.
Good luck with all your cards. When you make your cards up to sell, do you just have blank inserts inside or do you put general text/verses in them? I'd love to be able to sell some but wouldn't know where to try, and am not sure my cards are good enough to sell.
I saw a friend today who said, maybe I should do a box of different cards and try to sell them at a car boot sale. Has anyone ever done this and was it worth the effort? Unfortunately, I couldn't sell any from work as there are only 2 of us in the office.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
I have been asked to do a cardmaking session at our local over 50s club tomorrow. However it's where I sell most of my cards, DH thinks I might be cutting my nose off to spite my face, until I explained to him that the average age is probably 75.:rotfl: Should be fun though:D0
