British Gas Impossible To Contact
Hi guys,
I'm really hoping someone here can help because I'm having an absolute nightmare.
Late in September I movered into a new flat, part of a house which had recently been converted into flats. I attempted to establish who my electricity and gas suppliers were but the electricity is now turning into a nightmae (not that it was easy to get gas sorted.)
Basically I found out that British Gas were my suppliers for both electricity and gas. So I phoned up the company attempting to set up an account. Alas after hours of phonecalls it has eventually transpired that my property has somehow been registered as a business premises. I have repeatedly been calling British Gas to get this sorted so that I can set up an account paying my bills from the date I've moved in. Unfortunately I keep on getting passed from pillar to post by them. Told to phone one number to speak to someone, then another, then another. My life's spent on hold and I keep on getting passed back to departments who've already passed me on to others!
I'm racking up an extortionate phone bill (I only have a mobile as in order to save money I didn't bother with a landline) and don't know what to do. I don't have an account set up but they feel they're supplying my address as if it's a businsess property and I can't get through to anyone who'll sort it.
Anyone know anything I can do?
Thanks
