Currently have a phone line, rental and broadband with Talk Talk. My 18mth contract is now over!!:j
Want to move these over to Sky's phone and bb service. However, Sky now telling me i can only move if my existing line is with a BT service, and it us unbundled.
I called Bt who cant help me at all as i have no contract with them. Phone TT customer service who say my line is "unbundled" since last year, and i should have no problems in moving to any provider.
I am confused now:o
Any advice welcome on what steps or what i need to do if i can move my service to Sky.

Your line is LLU (unbundled) with Talk Talk and, therefore, is connected to their rack at the BT exchange.
For you to go back to BT, it will have to be disconnected from their rack and reconnected to the BT rack. That will cost you £124.99 at BT's standard rates but you might be lucky and be able to get it done for £29.99 on BT's current offer. You will then be contracted to BT (for line rental only) for 12 months (or 18 months is you get the cheap installtion/reconnection).
With a BT line, you could choose any ADSL supplier (inc. Sky) and any CPS cals provider. Beware, Sky now provides calls on WCLI, no CPS.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Yes, and wait a year (or 18 months) or pay the breach of contract fee.
It makes you wonder why Sky, who say they can now connect lines, decline to do so.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
