Problems with Balance Transfer

in Credit cards
HI!
I applied for a virgin credit card and on the application form I said that I would be carrying out a balance transfer with the card. I got paid more than I was anticipating so I paid the bill anyways through m and s. I phoned up to activate my card last night and the balance transfer has gone through even though I paid the balance.
How do i get my money back?
Virgin say I have to contact m and s and get the money back from them, but will I still be liable for the fee to virgin>?
The amount is for about 130 pounds which is alot of money to me!
Thank you

You will still be liable for the fee to Virgin I would imagine. Its not their fault that you paid the balance off automatically. If you state you wish to do a BT on the application they do it straight away, they don't need further authorisation to do it.0

Yes, if Virgin have actioned the Balance Transfer then you won't be able to reclaim that fee as they have done as you requested.
However, you should contact M&S to request a refund of any resulting positive balance. They can usually transfer this to your Bank Account or issue a cheque to you. They should not charge anymore for this.
You should be able to make money from the Virgin promotion by stoozing the funds and this should at least recoup the Balance Transfer fee.
Good Luck.0
