Wickes are they in trouble?

Hi Tried to get new booklet from two different Wickes stores (last booklet of goods for sale expired 11/12/05) but none have arrived in store and staff say they don't know why. Also the website has the expired booklet as a PDF. Are they having financial trouble or just trouble with the printers, does anybody know or work for them and have the inside story?

Wickes has been bought by Travis Perkins so would hardly be going under.0

Hope not, they are the better one of the DIY chains. They have just opened a brand spanking new one in Wakey.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0

Wickes have tended to take a while between booklets, everytime I've been looking. Two weeks to a month isn't unusual.0

No, they're not, for the reason above. I suspect Martin will be with them though, if folk, however well intentioned, start threads suggesting this sort of thing...0

Hi I did not mean to get anyones back up or imply a serious problem at Wickes, I like shopping there and would not like them to close down. I only meant is there a problem because even the staff found it strange the new booklet was late and did not know why.
I have just checked and it is still the old booklet on the website. I normally have no problem getting the new booklet as soon as the old one has expired.
Hope you all have a happy new year.0
