Copy/paste From Pdf

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to copy, (highlight/copy) from a PDF site? and if so how? as when I try it seems not to be possible, the cursor changes to a hand and will not allow the words to be highlighted.

There is a button at the top which looks like a cursor - you have to click that first.

I think it depends on how the item was saved and then which version you are using. With version 7 you can copy selections, but if it has been saved as an image you can only copy the image of the text. However, if it was saved as text, you can copy individual words, sentences, paragraphs etc. to word. As gizmo says, use the select tool.

Can't see anything like that, the document I am looking at is saved in my documents as a Abode Acrobat document in Word, But I am sure? it is the same when I visit a PDF site

What version of Adobe do you have? Version 7 can be downloaded from here for XP

was on version 5, am downloading version 7 now, will see what happens

Am trying that link, but it seems to be freezing on me and not opening the page, will try again when I have downloaded version 7

My icon has the 'I' a triangle and 'select' by it. Can't figure out how Gizmo got the picture on here!

You need to sign up for an account with a third pary image hoster like https://www.imagecave.com and then you upload images to your account there and it gives you an address for the image with the necessary "tags" on it ([IMG]) so that when you paste the text in your post it appears as an image. [/img]
