Debit Card clawback?

I bought concert tickets off Ebay in September and used paypal for the purchase.
The tickets have not materialised and the Ebay seller has now been suspended. I thought I had been careful by buying from a powerseller with virtually 100% feedback (4000+)
It looks unlikely that I will ever see the money or the tickets again but am just checking that there is no way that I can reverse my paypal payment using a debit card. Unfortunately, the 45 day protection period allowed by payapal has expired.
Any assistance and guidance would be really helpful..
Thanks

Speak to your card issuer and see if they can help as it is rather a grey area.
On the one side you'd argue that you used a debit card to pay the seller.
But....
Paypal would argue that you used a debit card to purchase Paypal funds and then you sent these Paypal funds to the seller.
My most recent experience with a CC chargeback involving Paypal (with Shell Mastercard), was that the company required me to go through the Paypal dispute process and only when Paypal said that I was eligible for a refund but there were no funds available to refund me did they action the chargeback.0 -
hi file a dispute through paypal they will investigate for you and you are protected up to £500 by paypal buyer protection so you should get your money back its worth a go0
