Ysgol Sant Curig in Barry are holding a Twmpath Dawns on Friday December 5th in the school hall. Tickets are £5 each and it'll be from 7pm till late.
Details are..............

The school has been working hard to better links with schools across Europe, as part of a Comenius Global Citizenship Project. This gives an excellent opportunity for teachers from other countries to come and visit our school. By now we have teamed up with primary schools from Sweden, Scotland, Cyprus, Hungary and Romania.

Representatives from each of these countries will be visiting the school from Wednesday, December 3rd, staying until Sunday, December 7th, with the aim of learning about our cultures and sharing experiences.

We have organised many events and excursions during the course of their stay, and the highlight of the week will be a Twmpath Dawns, to be held on Friday, December 5th at 7.00pm, in the school hall. There will be a live folk band, and an opportunity for you to be led in traditional Welsh folk dancing. There will also be cawl and a licensed bar.

There is a professional Welsh folk band playing at the school so that everyone can get up and have a good old Welsh dance.

If you are interested in coming, and soaking up some Welsh culture, please PM me for tickets.

Thanks Lisa (parent who's just joined the PTA!!!!)

  • Hi Lisa, I saw your thread about your Twmpath dawns in December. I am running a Twmpath for YGG LLantrisant for St Davids Day and was wondering if you could give me some advice. We would also like to offer cawl to all who are coming, did you get caterers in or do it yourselves? If caterers, who did you use? Hope you had a great evening. Helen Phillips
