HSBC drop rates by 1.5%

HSBC look to have dropped their rates by the full 1.5%.

    Thanks for that.At least they are keeping to their promise of the Regular Saver staying at 8% if you have the advance account,i am relieved about that.Hubby has got an ISA with them but I have transferred nearly all of it out in the last few days to top up my Coventry bond.(Yes he does know!!)However i do like banking online with HSBC so will not change that.

    Their easy access saver is now only a joke 0.2%, and what are they going to do to that when the base rate falls another 1%?!

    Was about to post the same ..HSBC were silly with their rates for last several months, but it is just ridiculous now .. 0.16 Net (less for higher band taxpayers).

    They will probably go to negative, you will have to pay bank to keep your money (happened once in Switzerland)
