I was given one for christmas and I hate white chocolate........but thought I could turn it into something for my OH tonight for pud......
I've got all the usual baking stuff in the house plus double cream/cream liquer if that's any help(haven't got any icing sugar as used it all in some truffles last week - yum!).....but feeling a bit uninspired!! I've had a cold for 2 weeks now and ithink my head has been replaced with cotton wool!
Any ideas???

Choc-orange cake
gas mark 4 /180c
3 eggs
5oz self-raising flour
1oz cocoa powder
6oz caster sugar
9oz butter
cream
chocolate orange
Make a chocolate cake in a 2lb loaf tin and cool.
Melt the chocolate orange, cool slightly then mix with the cream and spread over the top of the cake in swirls with a palette knife. Then to finish off sprinkle with grated choc orange on top of the cream.Rebel No 220 -
Sorry, should have said this can be made with either white or dark choc.Rebel No 220

thanks thriftlady, you've given me inspiration for using up the ridiculous quantity of assorted mini-Toblerones I've been given... (I only like the original ones)

I've been watching this thread with interest........I have a box of Irish cream After Eights (Baileys flavoured). Now I love Baileys and I love After Eights, but combined they are yeugghh!
Can anyone help? I can't bear to throw them away as it seems such a waste.
Thanks,

Pink-winged, what about cutting them up really small and mixing them into some soft ice-cream. Return to the frezzer until ready to serve. Never tried this with Baileys after eights only with choc chips, but it may improve the flavour?Rebel No 220

You can send all unwanted chocolates to Henhog - no offer too small.
P.S - any unwanted booze gratefully received too!! :xmassmile :rudolf:0 -
