    Someone I know who trades the DOW regularly is currently predicting that this is a temporary rise and that the bottom of the market will be 7500. I have no idea how he came to this conclusion, but thought it might make for an interesting opinion from the other side of the pond.

    Stocks are looking very cheap at the moment, so a lot of incentive for opportunists to buy.

    Also, a big reason for the downward pressure we've seen recently is hedge funds selling up as investors demand cash back.
