Hi
i have two computers next to each other, an old on and a new(ish) one.
Yesterday i was on my old computer (on this site as it happens) and then my new computer next to me just powered down. I thought it was a bit strange, but dismissed it as an power saving device. I moved the mouse to get out of what i thought was the black power down screen but it never came back on.
I have repeated tried turns my new computer on and off, but now the screen says "no video output", i have also tried taking the tft cab;e out of the computer and putting it back in...no luck
Please help me, because i have a free house and my parents are goining to think i did something dodgy which broke the computer!
Thanks MSE's :xmassign:

It means that you almost certainly have a problem with your graphics card and/or monitor cable
Try a different graphics card in the pc to see if it works,if it does, its most likely your graphics cards knackered, or least likely the motherboard slot..
Try the monitor from your other pc on the broken machine, if its works, its most likey your monitor cableI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
