Scan.co.uk - direct emails?

Does anyone have a direct contact at Scan?

I put in a really urgent order this morning at 9am, paid extra for early next day delivery, all items in stock. at 7:15pm tonight I receive an e-mail saying one item is out of stock and it now appears the whole order has been put on hold, until they decide which replacement I'd like.

Surely they should send the rest and put the other on back order / wait for which replacement I'd like.

I've emailed through their website, but a direct contact would be more useful.

Very annoyed, this couldn't have been a more important order - just typical!

All their emails seem to come from queries@scan.co.uk no matter who I've been dealing with in the past.

You could try phoning but I presume it's a bit late in the day now.

  • Try hexus.net forums under scan, there are a few scan people on there

Same problem as phone though. They don't post on there much out of office hours.

PS tried the queries@scan.co.uk but received a bounce message:

The following email could not be added to the database please use the Scan web site to log your query - http://web6.scan.co.uk/OLQ/LogQuery.asp

    But the link is dead!

Arrrrghh, just when you need something urgently! What's the point of having stock information on line, ordering items in stock at 9am, only to be told at 7pm one isn't in stock?! Ranting now!

I guess you need to already have been contacted by them (and a case number) to use that email address. I'll have to keep that in mind myself in future. They completely rebuilt their entire website a few months ago which probably explains why that link doesn't work anymore but bit of an oversight not to update it in their automated email replies.
