    I've been Money Tipped!
I haven't tried the Tefal one but I know that someone highly recommended this Tefal one from Amazon at half the price with more or less identical spec to the one you mention at Argos.

There is a Philips one there too for £75.

  • Back from Argos with mine bought it yesterday !! I got the subsitute Yay !! (Argos- Aberdeen , Berryden)

I am so chuffed with it , someone said to me before I bought it that I'd never want a normal iron again, wow I think they were right, what an incredable difference. I HATE ironing but I am hunting the house for things to flatten and smooth. I've come to the bottom of my ironing mountain in about a quarter of the time.

I highly recommend the Argos one , just make sure it's the substitute you get.

In my local B&Q (Oxford) they had them stacked up at the tills for £19.97 - a bargain but the brand was unfamiliar - I think it was the B&Q own brand. I bought a Polti one for £150 2.5 years ago and it does the ironing the best I've seen - just need someone to operate it!!

PS - they were in B&Q at the wekend...
