  • I was told in the covent garden store it was only certain gift boxes (eg the Christmas ones), so it wasn't necessarily a great deal.

I got the Candy Christmas box for free though, worth £16.95 for free, and it has alot of my yearly faves in there, so Im quite happy!
  • The actual terms of the store offer are that you spend £15 and you can pick anything that was made in 2005 (except for the normal gift boxes) for free.

Christmas gift boxes are included which is why people take those I think.

The skin care products are generally the most expensive, the two fragrances they do are about £25 too, you can ask them to cut you 250g of any of the soaps as your free gift, the big bottles of shampoo and conditioner also retail at about £10.

Hope that helps with the confusion :rudolf:

I wouldn't save lush stuff for twelve months. Because it's made fresh from real ingredients a lot of it doen't last very long. Anyway it's too gorgeous not to use.

I've never bought anything from Lush. When I go in to look I'm always overwhelmed by the amount of "stuff" and the fragrance of everything is a bit too much to spend any time in there! I'd get a headache if I had to be in there for any length of time I think...lol. Anyhow, what products would you recommend and why? I'd love to buy some stuff so a few pointers would be much appreciated.

    Hello Petal
I always felt the same as you I used to hate going in the shop because the smell was so strong it made me feel sick. However one year one of my friends brought me a gift bag for xmas which I promptly put in a dark cupboard because of the smell! About a year later I had run out of bubble bath and thought what the heck I would try it and it was wonderful! I have only really tried the soaps and fizz balls but my fav is the bath slices, they are so so relaxing.....sometimes i treat myself. I would be interested as well to hear what other people recomend.
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

i know what you mean about the overpowering smell, i find that i can't shop for long in lush which is good cos i would end up spending too much money!

I love their products and would recommend especially:

    - the bath bombs - I like to buy the ones with dried flowers in them as it make the bath water look so pretty - it is a pain to clean the bath afterwards though so I usually save these ones to be used when I'm staying in a hotel!

    - the face masks - cupcake, which smells like chocolate muffins is great for oily skin, and these is a seaweed one as well which leaves the skin feeling lovely

    - Big - its a seasalt shampoo that gives my hair lots of shine and body

    - the facial moisturisers - shangri-la is the only moisturiser that stops my very dry skin from peeling in the winter - beats any of the expensive skincare brands hands down - I know cos I have tried them all

    - the body creams - dream cream is brilliant and very gentle on the skin.

    - finally - the massage bars - they are solid blocks of massage oil that melt when you rub them onto skin, they smell heavenly and are lovely to use. i also use mine as a body moisturiser when my skin is feeling really dry - just rub the bar over your body when you get out of the bath/shower
Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!

Thanks Yenners and Notakid - I may just go and treat myself now I know what to look for! The moisturisers and massage bars sound really good...I have really dry skin. Do the products last long as they're made with fresh ingredients? Expensive?
