Can anyone tell me whether its possible to transfer a balance from there credit card to mine, my husband currently has a Barclaycard with £1256 the interest rate is high, we pay the minimum repayment ,he has a poor credit score so cannot transfer, however mine is excellent and I would like to cover the debt on my capital one card.

Yes you can transfer from his card to yours. You solely will of course become legally liable for that debt at transfer but that's what being married is all about.;)

yes you can..all they ask for is the card number to transfer the balance to yours..i did this for a friend who was paying sky high interest so i got a 0% card in my name and she paid it off.

As the other posters have said, you can transfer the debt from your partner, your friends or even Dave from down the pub. Usually the Card Provider simply wants the long number on the card that is to have the debt transferred from.

But as exel1966 has mentioned please be aware that you become solely responsible and legally liable for repaying that debt even though you did not run it up, so should you go your separate ways you could be left making the repayments on a debt that was not originally yours.
