I think you need to call them, get the full name of the agent you speak to, and get the process moving.

    08457 26 36 46.

I would anticipate further reductions in fixed rates over the next few days.
I've just confirmed this is the case speaking with Halifax ISA staff. If you register your details they will honour the 'offer' rate for a period of 60 days (which is excellent if you can apply now) I am tacitly assuming that, because customers are allowed to stipulate any period of notice in relation to a transfer (eg another fixed rate has not quite ended) that you could register an intention to transfer within the 60 days at the date of maturity of a currently held fixed rate ISA

Further to above. Have now formally requested this from Halifax - intending to transfer-in an ISA which matures in 6 weeks - which leaves up to two weeks within the offer period to carry through. Specifically asked about requiring notice under this offer and they confirmed it remains valid. So, they will pay the 'higher' of whatever rate applies; on the date of transfer or the currently offered one; and they will fix at that rate for the term from that date (e.g 1 year)

Just called them they don't allow you to transfer into this if you have opened another ISA for this year.

I think they have misunderstood what you are trying to do.

As long as you only have 1 ISA for each tax year, you can transfer each individual year's allowance. Including this year.

The question asked was 'have you opened another ISA this year' which i have a fixed rate ISA. She said i cannot open 2 in 1 year. I then said i only wanted to transfer an exsisting ISA she said but you will be opening 2 then.

Transferring an existing Cash ISA does not constitute opening a new ISA, if you have this response, ask to speak to a supervisor and quote Section 11 of the HMRC Guidance Notes for ISA Managers at them.

I think she may have also meant they dont allow transfers without subscribing to this year.

No, she meant she didn't know what she was on about (or misunderstood).

Speak to that supervisor as suggested!
