flash

thanks to those of you who tried to help with installation of Flash. My grandson came around and downloaded it in minutes. Oh well it must be an age thing.
I had office xp on pc and somehow the settings got changed and I was unable to open documents. Chap came around and uninstalled it and put it on from his disc but still would not open documents. He tried lots of things and in the end he downloaded notepad which is fine for most things. I have a christmas list of labels on here but notepad does not have a programme for printing labels. I do not want to pay for office again in case it does not work. Any suggestions from you experts out there?
Thanks.
