I need a fixed rate account which I can pay into...

Hi, I want to find an account with good interest. Ild like it fixed, but that allows me to pay in money sporadically. Some months I may not have anything to pay in, other months I may have £500 to pay in (Im selling lots of things on ebay and doing a bit of overtime work). A regular savings account would not suit me (as some months Ill have nothing to save), so what account would best suit my needs? Any advice/suggetsions welcome.

The only account which I have seen recently, which would have met your 'fixed rate and random additional payments' criteria was the Egg 6.3% Fixed Rate Websaver - it was withdrawn in early October.
The A&L eSaver 2 may be suitable as long as you don't want to make withdrawals, as no interest is earned in any month when a withdrawal is made (other than July).Save regular amounts each month, or put in one-off payments whenever you want.0 -
Depends whether you have the minumum to put in here

Hmmm, I dont have enough to open the BOS account. A&L saver looks good, I bet theyre all going to be removing these offers in the next week or so. Better get my skates on! Thankyou.0

5% fixed for a year on £50+. 4 withdrawals. Additional deposits allowed up to £500k.

Coventry BS had what you were looking for . Its 50 Plus eSave account also had monthly interest option. Believe now withdrawn though and ,course, you need to be over 50 in the first place.0
