How do I use a 1GB SD card in my Nokia 3300

For Christmas I've had a 1 GB SD card to replace the 64MB card that comes with my Nokia 3300 (which has a built in mp3 player). Nokia have said that the card is suitable but when I've transfered the files from my original card to my new one, the phone comes up with an error that reads "Error" or "Card may be corrupt".

Am I doing anything wrong?
Has anyone else tried something similar?

Thanks for the advice! Just followed all the instructions and when I put the card in my phone it comes up “card missing” or “Corrupt card” I think I’m going to have words with the card supplier or Nokia!

I read that the limit is 128MB! I also read that the phone will not allow more than 99 songs, but there is a way to get past that!
