Just seen this offer advertised at Aldi - seems quite good for a 4GB MP4 player. Available from 16th November.

Would I be able to download from Audible.co.uk with this? Sorry, but I know zilch about these things! Not really interested in music but audible books.

MP3 are nothing to do with this. Audible's files are DRMed MP3s do not support DRM.

No Audible's use DRM call them its an 0800 number to validate this player is supported. I'm not a big fan of Audible's.

You can get free content from the BBC website plays, shows, music, news etc and free legal audio books from here http://librivox.org/ the catalogue is nothing compared to commercial sites but you might want to try this as the files are all free. Mods note this is a legal site.

If you want a good free podcast client Juice is good also free http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/

Many places are doing DRM free files in both AAC and MP3 like Amazon.

For finding music try songbird http://getsongbird.com/ please make sure you download material that is suitable.

I have my podcatcher set up to download all the shows, news etc I need automatically so I can listen on the tube on the way to work. You can do this for video too but this unit needs transcoding and the quality on this for video playback might not be too good, if anyone has seen a review please post a link!

Hi does it play mp3's .........

    Thx
    joe2cool
  • I bought three of these last Christmas and all went faulty almost immediately. The service from the shop and manufacturer was excellent and they were all replaced only for the replacements to become faulty also! Full reimbursement given no problem. Just all a bit of a pain when given as presents.
  • Do these have a built in FM transmitter? The description says it has an FM radio but I'd need one to transmit to my car radio
  • as joe2cool asks, does anyone know if this plays MP3s?
