As other people have said when we were waiting for the 1st emails, this is definitely like waiting for your luggage at an airport carousel and finding everyone has theirs but you haven't.0

Alright - with the drop in ICICI rates today - and I had applied for the fixed account - but cannot access my Icesave money - on whose interest I live to undertake my charitable activities -- and that money I worked hard for and paid taxes on since I was 9 years old - and I am now 53 -- I can OFFICIALLY state that I am ANGRY AS HELL.
I'm sorry. That is just how I feel. It wasn't through being irresponsible that I am meeting this loss - daily. Were that to be the case I would feel the punishment justified ... and, yes, I am deeply, deeply appreciative to have the capital sum returned ... I am sincere in that ... it's just that I'm now seeing everything I worked so hard for -- the ability to focus on the commitments I am currently undertaking - drift away and it was through advice that I deposited in Icesave. In 2006 I was told it was 'no risk' after having lost money with an investment firm called Ruffers. All I wanted I said was safety. The price I - and ALL will have paid now - is considerable - and not just in terms of money. Let us be clear this is COSTING.
I am sorry to RAGE - but right now I would like to take this computer and the FSCS emails and tear them to shreds in the FRUSTRATION I feel - would not that be a rightful return - for that is how I am feeling - SHREDDED.0 -

But on the other hand ICICI are still offering an excellent variable rate.
From today they have cut the variable rate HiSave account from 6.16% to 5.5% and this is after two cuts by the BOE totalling 2%.
The first £50k is fully covered by FSCS0 -
