I've just been looking at this. Does anyone have any idea how good Daewoo TV's are or can find the dimensions of this set? I can't find anything online at all.0

Would you say it is worth it at that price, or would I be better getting a JVC for 80quid more? I'm after a black TV rather than a silver one so the pickings are slim.0 -
Many thanks for this. Have ordered one for my son for his bedroom. He will be delighted.0

Probably, the prices of crt tv's are dropping all the time though, and with the non hd ready lcd's dropping as well these are difficult to shift even though the picture quality will be better than a cheap lcdWhat goes around - comes around

The pic is from another, unrelated, website, and as emc posted, the Currys website spec explicitly states Remote Control No.
Does anyone know for definite, having actually checked with Currys or already got a set?0 -

I have noticed in the past that Currys have not listed all features of electrical goods - I would definitely check elsewhere before making assumptions about goods on their website. With regard to the remote control, it is difficult to imagine them selling a TV without a remote control as for most modern TVs you need to use the remote control in the setting up of the TV. It is possible that a TV might be sold without a remote at a discounted price if the remote was missing but that would be likely to be more clearly stated as a "manager's special" or something along those lines - at least it should be.
The TV spec on Dixons (Currys sister company) also said no remote - hard to belive as it is an "interactive TV" with freeview. Personally I think they have made a mistake in the listing. Could always phone them and check. Save money on their 0870 number by checking for an alternative number at https://www.saynoto0870.com0 -

Do you mean probably is worth it, or probably better getting the JVC? I'd be sold on this if it was a make like Panasonic or something but I'm not sure about Daewoo.
I agree with regards to CRT's being better than cheap LCD's, I think they are better than ANY LCD or Plasma that I've seen at dixons etc, in fact I'm returning my new LCD TV to buy a CRT.0
