  • My local Sainsburys has it on PS3 for £35. Has anyone seen it lower? Asda has sold out so PC world won't pricematch.

just say at pc world "one asda within 30 miles has got a copy", get them to check if they dont want to give you the money off, all they did with me was phone the main asda line to check the price, there not going to phone every asda, you imagine checking every asda within 30 miles radius of pc world:eek:

If you wanted to be really sneaky what you could do is get a phone number of a phone box, go into pc world and say this asda as got them phone them up to check, just make sure the phone box is well out the way and no one will answer it.

just say you will wait, infact take a list of numbers, half the time they wont answer the phone at asda anyway.

    ...and? You big tease! :)

they were very good. They said on the phone they can only price match to the web but then they reserved one for me in teh Sevenoaks store.

So off I went and bingo, job done. Chap said it was his third price match tday - he was not happy!

  • Thanks to original op :T managed to get one today for DH! Asda Chelmer Village, Chelmsford, Essex had a delivery of 25 of each (Playstation 3, X box etc, etc) at lunch time today. HTH.
    :p
  • Thanks to OP and confused31 very much! Went to PC World after ringing a few smallish local ASDAs. One or two ASDAs had them in, so I was confident of getting one. Got to PC World, and they had sold out. Not too happy... So on the way home, on the off chance, I popped into Currys. The guy there checked the internet price and said unless I have an advert, they wont price match.

So went home, got The Sun from Thursday and went back, waited for an hour until the same Assistant was free, for him to tell me they wouldn't do it because the stores were too far out (by 3 miles). Well, extremely unhappy at this point, so I thought last chance, I'll just trying blagging it across the road at Comet.

Went in, asked the Assistant, who said they had one in and they would do it providing it was in stock at ASDA. So I just reeled off a few names of the big, surrounding Walmart stores within a 30 mile radius, and the Manager overheard and over-rode what the Assis. Manager said, by saying "Just do it mate, the Walmarts always have them in...". Needless to say, I walked out very happy!

Basically, just go into your local Comet / Currys / PC World and do what confused31 said: reel off name of big Walmart ASDAs and they will most likely just give it to you.

    Off to play now! :)

Clearly not the greatest at maths there but saved you an extra quid!

    Isn't that the right maths, if they're price-matching + an extra 10% off? £27 - £2.70 = £24.30
  • Carphone Warehouse doing this for £24.99 on all 3 formats ps3/xbox360/wii.

AND THEY HAVE IT IN STOCK
