I liked Saw and Saw II, was really disappointed with Saw III - too much gore, too little plot drive. Hope IV and V are better.

I agree. Saw 3 is the worst out of the first four...Saw 4 is much better than 3.

  • I hate gore and violence films, I haven't seen any of them. Ihate horror films, even mild ones!!

I can cope with the dissection of the bodies in CSI, but that's about my limit!! :rotfl:

Ah, am home now. Guess what I bought on the way home? Cauliflower and a packet of cheese sauce. cooking cauliflower now, wayne's going to add some leeks & cabbage to it and serve it with pasta on the side!

Picked up the post on the way in and there's a postcard from a guy I used to deliver papers with on a weekend (we had different routes but he'd always wait for me before setting off in a morning and he helped get rid of the pervert who kept following me in his car whilst pulling himselft off:eek:). He's living in Bulgaria after overcoming cancer (he thinks the pneumonia did the trick in finally seeing off the cancer). He went from a stage 3 cancer to stage 1 with treatment but couldn't seem to go from stage 1 to remission until now. Anyways, he's given me his email address and I'm going to send him an email... could this be a nice DFW holiday to Bulgaria in the future???

I helped one of the docs get in touch with his women's shopper brain when I explained the he doesn't tell his wife he spent £5K on business class flights to Hawaii, but tells her he saved £1400 by booking them now;). He said that's what his daughter and wife would always say to him after a shopping trip so now he'll play them at their own game!:D

Hope everyone's gonna have a great evening.

  • Tbh, Im not normally a fan of horror films but I quite enjoyed the Saw ones (seen 1 and 2) I also like Se7en and things like that-perhaps more pyschological ones I guess?

  • As long as I know there isn't lots of violence and blood and gore, I'd give thefilm a go. I did watch the one about the deadly sins and enjoyed that, is that se7en?

I prefer courtroom drama kind of stuff, I'm not massively into films which are just one long car chase.

Yeah se7en is the deadly sins one, very good. If you liked that and Saw Bun, I'd recommend Memento and Blue Velvet. Oh and the Life of David Gale.

I like the thriller element of Saw much more than the horror/gore

I used to love old horror but nowadays you'd call it thriller / suspense types... where my imagination creates the gory scenes for me.

The best film that I've seen recently ( I think its still in Bbuster ) is 'Pierrepoint' about Albert Pierrepoint, Englands last hangman. Timothy Spall is the lead and its really atmospheric stuff.
