When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:
check online banking - one day to payday
update spreadsheets
storecupboard meals
make a loaf in breadmaker
go for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
start checking around for cheaper car insurance - almost due for renewal
buy 6 months tax instead of 12 so that next year it will be due in June and not Dec with insurance and mot and service - won't seem so bad:rolleyes:
Good morning everyone, hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters:D Freezing here this morning and have a funeral to attend later, will be wearing some warm stripey socks though to stop feet from freezing at the churchyard.
Hope you all have a productive day. See you later:D

Good morning all!
Looks a bit damp and cold out there today. Best get me thermals on!!
I have a busy day today. Dad in hospital to have tooth out. Its actually right on a nerve so the surgeon tried to talk him out of having it done. If they damage the nerve it could permanantly affect his speech. Dad didn't want to spend 30+ years of his life with toothache though so has pushed for the op. So I'm a very nervous Miss Piggy today!
So here's my efforts today:
* Drive Dad up hospital and then collect him when finished (general anaesthetic so he can't drive). Not really DFW but at least I won't be in the house with the heating on!!
* Go to Asda to buy new, big airer
* Free dinner tonight - lasagne and crusty bread supplied by Mum
* No lights on today - gloomy but never mind!
* Washing on at 30'c and will dry on new airer and over bannisters
* No heating on as yet - bundled little boy up in jumpers etc - he now looks like a sumo wrestler
* Ordering nightlight from Lakeland - Mum wants stuff too so am only having to pay half on postage
Thats about it. Am wearing my Kermit The Frog socks today!
Must invest in some sparkly ones!
Hope everyone who was poorly or down is feeling better today
Miss P
