At least this terrible waiting will soon be over. It is a very nervous time for all innocent savers who have been subjected to the most horrendous suffering for almost a year through no fault of their own.
We must remain positive and trust that the politicans etc who are trying to resolve this on our behalf have done the business of securing the outcome we so desperately need.
Trusting all our wishes will come true so that we can start rebuilding our lives and put this debacle behind us once and for all.0 -

Received a letter today from Administrator; it doesn't really tell me anything.
The decision is that there is no decision. Mr Boyd is waiting to see what the government are going to do.0 -

Was there an announcement somewhere indicating that next Monday was D - Day?0 -
I was breathless with excitement and anticipation as I saw a letter this morning from PMS - now I am just breathless!!
No joy there, then!! Sounded a bit like a school report - "would like to do better, but can't"
Haven't heard any announcement that Monday is D-day but that doesn't mean it won't be - government announcements tend to come "out of the blue" so I wouldn't give up hope yet.
It's difficult to wait "in anticipation" for we know no what - we were told there'd be an announcement in September and September isn't over yet, although almost, so we need to hang in there.0 -
Just a thought but I have not actually read anywhere that the PM would give a decision in September. I really hope there is. The terms of reference talk about the draft report in September and that the Working Group are scheduled to report back to the PM in the Autumn. Apparently at the first meeting in July it was agreed that Ministers would meet again in the Autumn. Again I have not read or heard anything to suggest that this has taken place. This would make sense before a final report goes to the PM in case things need to be renegotiated to the benefit of the savers.
Maybe some of you have different views.0 -
The Administrators letter to members on 22 September 2009 is now available on the PMS website

working group report has been delayed.
however, statment from NIO suggests it will contain positive options;-

Hope is correct. nobody ever said the PM would make a decision in Sept.
the original line in June was that the group would report to the PM in Sept.
In July the official terms of reference said a DRAFT report would be sent in Sept.
There is no official line on when the final report may be published;-

Article in todays newsletter. Bottom line is that it is hoped the final report will be published in October. NIO comments are encouraging - "the delay was to ensure that the options being considered can be developed" I think this is a positve sign.0
